Abstract

Ruth Gaddy (1918-2014) of Charlotte, North Carolina, served in the United States WAAC (Women's Army Auxiliary Corps) and WAC (Women's Army Corps) during WWII. She was part of the all African-American 6888th Central Postal Battalion.

The collection includes a 2001 May oral history transcript.
